otherwise follow the regular instructions
To keep the loading time down, I have tried to keep the screen captures to a minimum so
when the same effect is used more than once, I have just made a reference to it!
Remember to save your work often!!!
Step 1 Open the "Grey Pattern" that you downloaded to a folder of your choice Set your foreground pattern to "greypattern" Scale 100 Angle 0
Open a New Image 400x400 16 Million Colours Transparent
Open the
scanner.pspimage file. Shift D to duplicate and
then close the original
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Side Panel"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh01sidepanel.sel" Click on the Side Panel
Layer Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection
from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh01sidepanel
Floodfill
Go to Selections/Float
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Cut Out and apply these settings:
Deselect
Step 2 Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Front Panel"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh02frontpanel.sel" Click on the Front Panel
Layer Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection
from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh02frontpanel
Floodfill
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Cut Out and apply the same settings as in Step 1
Deselect
Step 3 Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Lid "
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh03lid.sel"
Floodfill
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Cut Out and apply the same settings as in Step 1 Go to Selections/Invert
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and apply these settings:
Deselect
Step 4 Set your foreground to colour #000000 Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Trim"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh04trim.sel" Click on the Trim
Layer Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection
from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh04trim
Floodfill
Deselect
With your Magic Wand tool select the inside of the trim
Go to Selections/Modify/Expand 2
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Inner Trim"
Click on the Inner Trim Layer
Open the "Lace Pattern" that you downloaded to a folder of your choice Set your foreground pattern to "lacepattern" Scale 100 Angle 0
Floodfill
Go to Selections/Float
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Cut Out and apply the same settings as in Step 1
Deselect
Go to your Layer Palette and move this layer under the "Trim" layer
(not necessary for PSP 8)
Step 5 Set your foreground pattern to "greypattern" Scale 100 Angle 0 Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Front Trim"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh05fronttrim.sel" Click on the Front Trim
Layer Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection
from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh05fronttrim
Floodfill
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply the Metallic Preset
supplied
with PSP changing the depth to 1
Deselect
Step 6 Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Buttons"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh06buttons.sel" Click on the ButtonsLayer Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection
from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh06buttons
Floodfill
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply the Metallic Preset
changing
the depth to 3
Deselect
Step 7 Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Lid Trim"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh07lidtrim.sel" Click on the Lid Trim
Layer Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection
from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh07lidtrim
Floodfill
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply these settings:
Deselect
Go to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible
If you would like to add a wire make sure you add a layer under the
Scanner
layer
Save as a tube or psp image for later use.
