Eye Candy 4 - Get your trial version here
Santa Selections.  Unzip the file and place in your PSP Selections Folder.  If you do not have a Selections Folder, make one now. Use for PSP 7
santa.pspimage file Use for PSP8
Santa Accessories.  Unzip to a folder of your choice. 

PLEASE NOTE where instructions differ for PSP8, these will be shown in blue
otherwise follow the regular instructions

To keep the loading time down, I have tried to keep the screen captures to a minimum so when the same effect is used more than once, I have just made a reference to it!

Remember to save your work often!!!

Step 1
Open a New Image 500x300 16 Million Colours Transparent
Open the santa.pspimage file. Shift D to duplicate and then close the original
Set your foreground colour to #000000 and your background colour to #C70D0D
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "S"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhs.sel"
Click on the S Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hhs

Floodfill with #000000
Go to Selections/Modify/Contract by 1 pixel
Floodfill with  #C70D0D
Go to Selections/Float
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Cut Out and apply these settings:

Reapply the Cut Out but change the Vertical and Horzontal to -2
Deselect

Step 2
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "N"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhn.sel"
Click on the N Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hhn

Floodfill with #000000
Go to Selections/Modify/Contract by 1 pixel
Floodfill with  #C70D0D
Go to Selections/Float
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Cut Out and apply the same settings as in Step 1
Reapply the Cut Out but change the Vertical and Horzontal to -2
Deselect

Step 3
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "A1"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hha1.sel"
Click on the A1 Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hha1

Floodfill with #000000
Go to Selections/Modify/Contract by 1 pixel
Floodfill with  #C70D0D
Go to Selections/Float
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Cut Out and apply the same settings as in Step 1
Reapply the Cut Out but change the Vertical and Horzontal to -2
Deselect

Step 4
Open the checkfill pattern that you unzipped to a folder of your choice
Change your background to the "checkfill" pattern scale 100 angle 0
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "A"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hha.sel"
Click on the A Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hha

Floodfill with #000000
Go to Selections/Modify/Contract by 1 pixel
Floodfill with the Checkfill pattern
Go to Selections/Float
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Cut Out and apply the same settings as in Step 1
Reapply the Cut Out but change the Vertical and Horzontal to -2
Deselect

Step5
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "T"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hht.sel"
Click on the T Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hht

Floodfill with #000000
Go to Selections/Modify/Contract by 1 pixel
Floodfill with the Checkfill pattern
Go to Selections/Float
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Cut Out and apply the same settings as in Step 1
Reapply the Cut Out but change the Vertical and Horzontal to -2
Deselect
Go to your Layer Palette and hide Layer 1
Go to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible and rename this layer "Santa"
PSP 8 ignore the merge instruction

Step 6
Change your background to #FEDDAA
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Sign"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhsign.sel"
Click on the Sign Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hhsign

Floodfill with #000000
Go to Selections/Modify/Contract by 1 pixel
Floodfill with the #FEDDAAl
Deselect
Go to Effects/Texture Effects/Texture and apply these settings:

Go to Selections/Select All/Selections/Float and apply the same cut out as in Step 1
but change the Opacity to 11
Deselect

Step 7
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Sign Text"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhsigntext.sel"
Click on the Sign Text Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hhsigntext

Floodfill with #000000

Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and apply these settings:

Deselect

Step 8
Open the pushpin.psp image that you unzipped to a folder of your choice
Go to Edit/Copy
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Pushpin"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhpushpin.sel"
Click on the Push Pin Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hhpushpin

Go to Edit/Paste/Into Selection
Deselect
Go to your Layer Palette and hide Layer 1 and the Santa Layer
Go to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible and rename this layer "Sign"
PSP 8 ignore the merge instruction

Step 9
Open the plate.psp image that you unzipped to a folder of your choice
Go to Edit/Copy
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Plate"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhplate.sel"
Click on the Plate Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hhplate

Go to Edit/Paste/Into Selection
Deselect

Step 10
Open the browncookie.psp image that you unzipped to a folder of your choice
Go to Edit/Copy
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Cookies"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhcookiebrown.sel"
Click on the Cookies Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hhcookiebrown

Go to Edit/Paste/Into Selection
Deselect
On the same layer open the redcookie.psp image that you unzipped to a folder of your choice
Go to Edit/Copy
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhcookiered.sel"
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hhcookiered
Go to Edit/Paste/Into Selection
Deselect
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and apply the same settings as in Step 7

Step 11
Open the browncookiehalf.psp image that you unzipped to a folder of your choice
Go to Edit/Copy
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Cookie Half"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhcookiehalf.sel"
Click on the Cookie Half Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hhcookiehalf

Go to Edit/Paste/Into Selection
Deselect
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and apply the same settings as in Step 7
Go to your Layer Palette and hide all but the plate and cookie layers
Go to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible and rename this layer "Plate"
PSP 8 ignore the merge instruction

Step 12
Open the goblet.psp image that you unzipped to a folder of your choice
Go to Edit/Copy
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Goblet"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhgoblet.sel"
Click on the Goblet Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hhgoblet

Go to Edit/Paste/Into Selection
Deselect
