You will need
JASC's PSP7 - Get it here Poppy Selections. Unzip the file and place
in your PSP Selections Folder. If you do not have a Selections Folder, make one now. Poppy Accessories. Unzip to a folder of your
choice.
To keep the loading time down, I have tried to keep the
screen captures to a minimum so when the same effect is used more than once, I have just
made a reference to it!
Remember to save your work often!!!
Step 1
Open a New Image 400x400 16 Million Colours Transparent
Set your foreground colour to #DCA473
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Right Leg"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhrightleg.sel"
Floodfill
Selections/Float
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Cut Out and apply these settings:
Reapply the Cut Out but change the Vertical and Horzontal
to -1
Deselect
Step 2
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Left Leg"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhleftleg.sel"
Floodfill
Selections/Float
Repeat Step 1 instructions for the Cut Out.
Remember to apply the Cut Out twice changing the Vertical and Horizontal to -1 for
the second Cut Out.
Deselect
Step 3
Change your foreground colour to #FFFFFF
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Right Sock"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhrightsock.sel"
Floodfill
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply these settings:
Go to Effects/Texture Effects/Blinds and apply these
settings:
Selections/Float
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Cut Out and apply the same settings as in Step 1.
Remember to apply the Cut Out twice changing the Vertical and Horizontal to -1 for
the second Cut Out.
Deselect
Step 4
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Left Sock"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhleftsock.sel"
Floodfill
Repeat Step 2 instructions for the Inner Bevel, Blinds
and Cut Out. Remember to apply the Cut Out twice changing the Vertical and
Horizontal to -1 for the second Cut Out.
In your Layer Palette click on the glasses next to Layer 1
to turn off the visibility. Right click Merge/Merge Visible. Rename this layer Legs
Step 5
Change your foreground colour to #000000
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Right Shoe"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhrightshoe.sel"
Floodfill
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply these settings:
Deselect
Step 6
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Left Shoe"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhleftshoe.sel"
Apply same Inner Bevel as for Right Shoe except change the angle to 131
Deselect
In your Layer Palette turn off the visibility of Layer 1
and the Leg Layer.
Right click Merge/Merge Visible. Rename this layer Shoes
Step 7
Change your foreground colour to #3A2660
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Dress Bottom"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhdressbottom.sel"
Floodfill - DO NOT DESELECT
Change your foreground colour to #000000
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and accept the default name
Select your Draw tool and apply these settings:
Draw some lines on the skirt to give it some depth
Go to Effects/Blur/Gaussian Blur and apply a radius of 5.00
Deselect
Turn off the visibility of all the layers except for the Dress Bottom layer and the layer
that
you have just applied the Gaussian Blur. Merge Layers Visible and rename this layer
Dress Bottom
Selections/Select All
Selections/Float
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Cut Out and apply these settings:
Reapply the Cut Out but change the Vertical and Horzontal
to -2
Deselect
Step 8
Change your foreground colour to #DCA473
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Right Arm"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhrightarm.sel"
Floodfill
Go to Selections/Float
Apply the same Cut Out as in Step 1. Remember to
apply the Cut Out twice
changing the Vertical and Horizontal to -1 for the second Cut Out.
Deselect
On your Layer Palette make sure the Right Arm layer is selected
Go to Layers/Arrange/Move Down
Step 9
On your Layer Palette make sure the Right Arm Layer is highlighted
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Left Arm"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhleftarm.sel"
Floodfill
Go to Selections/Float
Apply the same Cut Out as in Step 1. Remember to
apply the Cut Out twice
changing the Vertical and Horizontal to -1 for the second Cut Out.
Deselect
In your Layer Palette turn off the visibility of all the layers except for the arms layers
Right click Merge/Merge Visible. Rename this layer Arms
