You will need
JASC's PSP7 or 8 - Get it here
Keyboard Selections.  Unzip the file and place in your PSP Selections Folder. Use with PSP 7
keyboard.pspimage file Use with PSP 8
Keyboard Accessories.  Unzip to a folder of your choice.
You will also need a photograph or image of your own choosing

PLEASE NOTE where instructions differ for PSP8, these will be shown in blue
otherwise follow the regular instructions


To keep the loading time down, I have tried to keep the screen captures to a minimum so when the same effect is used more than once, I have just made a reference to it!

Remember to save your work often!!!

Step 1
Open a New Image 590x160 16 Million Colours Transparent
Open the keyboard.pspimage file. Shift D to duplicate and then close the original
Set your foreground  to colour #000000
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "keys"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh01line.sel"
Click on the Keys Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh01line

Floodfill
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply these settings:



Deselect
On the same layer, repeat these instructions for
"hh02line.sel" hh02line
"hh03line.sel" hh03line
"hh04line.sel" hh04line
"hh05line.sel" hh05line
"hh06line.sel" hh06line

Step 2
Set your foreground colour to #6E6A6A
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Circles"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh07circles.sel"
Stay on the Keys Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh07circles

Floodfill
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply the same settings as in Step 1
Deselect
Go to your Layer Palette and hide Layer 1
Go to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible and rename this layer "Keys" (not necessary for PSP 8)

Step 3
Stay on the "Keys" Layer
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh08keys.sel"
Stay on the Keys Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh08keys

Select your Deform Tool
Hold down the shift key and move the lower left node to the edge of the
selection
Repeat for the lower right node
Repeat for the upper right node but move this inwards
When you are happy with your placement apply the deformation
Go to Effects/Sharpen/Sharpen

Deselect
For PSP8 you will not be able to load the selection and do the deformation at the same time.  Deform the keys and then keep loading the selection until the keys fit!

Step 4
Open the "Grey Pattern" that you downloaded to a folder of your choice
Set your foreground pattern to "greypattern" Scale 100 Angle 0
Go to your Layer Palette and highlight Layer 1
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Board"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh09board.sel"
Click on the Board Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh09board

Floodfill
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply the Metallic Preset supplied
with PSP
Deselect

Step 5
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Front"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh10front.sel"
Click on the Front Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh10front

Floodfill
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply the Metallic Preset
Deselect


Go to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible
If you would like to add a wire make sure you add a layer under the Keyboard
layer


Save as a tube or psp image for later use.
