You will need
JASC's PSP7 or 8 - Get it here
Desk Selections.  Unzip the file and place in your PSP Selections Folder. 
If you do not have a Selections Folder, make one now. Use with PSP 7
desk.pspimage file Use with PSP 8
Desk Accessories.  Unzip to a folder of your choice.

PLEASE NOTE where instructions differ for PSP8, these will be shown in blue
otherwise follow the regular instructions


To keep the loading time down, I have tried to keep the screen captures to a minimum so when the same effect is used more than once, I have just made a reference to it!

Remember to save your work often!!!

Step 1
Open the "Wood Pattern" that you downloaded to a folder of your choice
Set your foreground pattern to "woodpattern" Scale 100 Angle 0
Open a New Image 500x326 16 Million Colours Transparent
Open the desk.pspimage file. Shift D to duplicate and then close the original
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Back"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh01back.sel"
Click on the Back Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh01back

Floodfill
Deselect

Step 2
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Top"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh02top.sel"
Click on the Top Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh02top

Floodfill
Deselect

Step 3
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Front"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh03front.sel"
Click on the Front Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh03front

Floodfill
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply these settings:

Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and apply these settings:

Deselect
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "desk"
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select desk
Go to Selections/Invert and delete. This will get rid of the excess shadow
Deselect

Step 4
Change the angle on the wood pattern to 90
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Left Door"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh04lftdoor.sel"
Click on the Left Door Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh04lftdoor

Floodfill
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply the same settings as in Step 3
Deselect
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and apply the same settings as
in Step 3 changing the vertical to 0
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "desk"
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select desk
Go to Selections/Invert and delete. This will get rid of the excess shadow
Deselect

Step 5
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Right Door"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh05rtdoor.sel"
Click on the Right Door Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh05rtdoor

Floodfill
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply the same settings as in Step 3
Deselect
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and apply the same settings as
in Step 4 changing the horizontal to -4
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "desk"
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select desk
Go to Selections/Invert and delete.
Deselect

Step 6
Change the angle on the wood pattern to 0
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Top Drawers"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh06topdrawers.sel"
Click on the Top Drawers Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh06topdrawers

Floodfill
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply the same settings as in Step 3
Deselect
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and apply the same settings as
in Step 4 changing the horizontal to 0

Step 7
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Drawers"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh07drawers.sel"
Click on the Drawers Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh07drawers

Floodfill
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply the same settings as in Step 3
Deselect
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and apply the same settings as
in Step 4 changing the horizontal to 0

Step 8
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Handle"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh08cupboardhandle.sel"
Click on the Handle Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh08cupboardhandle

Floodfill
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply the same settings as in Step 3
Deselect
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and apply the same settings as
in Step 7

 

Go to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible

Save as a tube or psp image for later use.
