You will need
JASC's PSP7 - Get it here Daisy Selections
Unzip the file and place in your
PSP Selections Folder. If you do
not have a Selections Folder, make one now. Daisy Accessories. Unzip to a folder of your
choice.
To keep the loading time down, I have tried to keep the
screen captures to a minimum so when the same effect is used more than once, I have just
made a reference to it!
Remember to save your work often!!!
Step 1
Open a New Image 400x400 16 Million Colours Transparent
Set your foreground colour to #DCA473
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Right Leg"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhrightleg.sel"
Floodfill
Selections/Float
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Cut Out and apply these settings:
Reapply the Cut Out but change the Vertical and Horzontal
to -1
Deselect
Step 2
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Left Leg"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhleftleg.sel"
Floodfill
Selections/Float
Repeat Step 1 Cut Out instructions remembering to
apply the Cut Out twice changing
the Vertical and Horizontal to -1 for the second Cut Out
Deselect
In your Layer Palette click on the glasses next to Layer 1
to turn off the visibility. Right click Merge/Merge Visible. Rename this layer Legs
Step 3
Change foreground colour to #08086F
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Right Sock"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhrightsock.sel"
Floodfill
Go to Effects/Texture Effects//Blinds and apply these settings:
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply these
settings:
Deselect
Step 4
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Right Sockrib"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhrightsockrib.sel"
Floodfill
Go to Effects/Texture Effects//Blinds and apply the same settings as in Step

changing the width to 2
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply the same settings as in Step
3 Deselect

Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Left Sock"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhleftsock.sel"

Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply the same settings as in Step

Step 6 Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Left Sockrib"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhleftsockrib.sel"

Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply the same settings as in Step
3 Deselect
In your Layer Palette to turn off the visibility of Layer 1
and the Leg Layer.
Right click Merge/Merge Visible. Rename this layer Socks
Step 7 Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Right Shoe"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhrightshoe.sel"
Floodfill
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply the same settings as in Step
3 Deselect
Step 8
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Left Shoe"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhleftshoe.sel"

Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply the same settings as in Step
3 Deselect
In your Layer Palette to turn off the visibility of Layer
1, Leg Layer and Sock Layer
Right click Merge/Merge Visible. Rename this layer Shoes
Step 9
Change your foreground colour to #DCA473
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Right Hand"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhrighthand.sel"

Go to Effects/3D Effects/Cut Out and apply the same settings as in Step 1.
Reapply the Cut Out changing the Vertical and Horizontal to -1
Deselect
Step 10
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Left Hand"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhlefthand.sel"
Floodfill
Selections/Float
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Cut Out and apply the same settings as in Step 1.
Reapply the Cut Out changing the Vertical and Horizontal to -1
Deselect
In your Layer Palette turn off the visibility of all the layers except for the hand layers
Right click Merge/Merge Visible. Rename this layer Hands
Step 11
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Neck"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhneck.sel"
Floodfill

Go to Effects/3D Effects/Cut Out and apply the same settings as in Step 1.
Reapply the Cut Out changing the Vertical and Horizontal to -1
Deselect
Step 12
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Head"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhead.sel"
Floodfill
Selections/Float
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Cut Out and apply the same settings as in Step 1.
Reapply the Cut Out changing the Vertical and Horizontal to -1
Deselect
Step 13
Change your foreground colour to #08086F
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Dress"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhdress.sel"
Floodfill
DO NOT DESELECT
Change your foreground colour to #000000
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and accept the default name
Select your Draw tool and apply these settings:
Draw some lines on the overalls to give it some depth
Go to Effects/Blur/Gaussian Blur and apply a radius of 5.00
Deselect
Turn off the visibility of all the layers except for the Dress layer and the layer that
you have just applied the Gaussian Blur. Merge Layers Visible and rename this layer
Dress
Selections/Float
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Cut Out and apply these settings:
Reapply the Cut Out changing the Vertical and Horizontal to -2
Deselect
Go to your Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom
On your Layer Palette highlight the Hands Layer
Go to your Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom
On your Layer Palette highlight the Layer 1
Go to your Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom
