You will need
JASC's PSP7 - Get it here Charlie Selections
Unzip the file and place in
your PSP Selections Folder. If you do
not have a Selections Folder, make one now. Charlie Accessories. Unzip to a folder of
your choice. The Rope tube is provided
with Paint Shop Pro but incase you don't have it I have included this in the Charlie
Accessories Zip. Unzip the tube into your Paint Shop Pro Tube folder
To keep the loading time down, I have tried to keep the
screen captures to a minimum so when the same effect is used more than once, I have just
made a reference to it!
Remember to save your work often!!!
Step 1
Open a New Image 400x400 16 Million Colours Transparent
Set your foreground colour to #000000
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Right Shoe"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhrightshoe.sel"
Floodfill
Go to Effects/3D Effects/inner Bevel and apply these settings:
Deselect
Step 2
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Left Shoe"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhlefshoe.sel"
Floodfill
Go to Effects/3D Effects/inner Bevel and apply the same settings as in Step 1
changing the angle to 284
Deselect
In your Layer Palette to turn off the visibility of Layer 1
Right click Merge/Merge Visible. Rename this layer Shoes
Step 3
Open the charlietrouserfill pattern that you unzipped to a folder of your choice
Set your foreground to pattern and select the trouserfill pattern with these settings:
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it
"Trousers"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhtrousers.sel"
Floodfill
Selections/Float
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Cut Out and apply these settings:
Reapply the Cut Out changing the Vertical and
Horizontal to -2
Deselect
Step 4
Change your foreground colour to #DCA473
On your Layer Palette highlight the Trouser layer
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Right Hand"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhrighthand.sel"
Floodfill
Selections/Float
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Cut Out and apply these settings:
Reapply the Cut Out changing the Vertical and
Horizontal to -1
Deselect
Step 5
On your Layer Palette highlight the Trouser layer
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Left Hand"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhlefthand.sel"
Floodfill
Go to Selections/Float
Apply the same Cut Out as in Step 4. Remember to
apply the Cut Out twice
changing the Vertical and Horizontal to -1 for the second Cut Out.
Deselect
In your Layer Palette turn off the visibility of all layers
except for the hand layers
Right click Merge/Merge Visible. Rename this layer Hands
Step 6
On your Layer Palette highlight the Hands layer
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Neck"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhneck.sel"
Floodfill
Go to Selections/Float
Apply the same Cut Out as in Step 4. Remember to
apply the Cut Out twice
changing the Vertical and Horizontal to -1 for the second Cut Out.
Deselect
Step 7
On your Layer Palette highlight the Neck layer
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Head"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhhead.sel"
Floodfill
Go to Selections/Float
Apply the same Cut Out as in Step 4. Remember to
apply the Cut Out twice
changing the Vertical and Horizontal to -1 for the second Cut Out.
Deselect
Step 8
Open the charliejumperfill pattern that you unzipped to a folder of your choice
Set your foreground to pattern and select the jumperfill pattern with these settings:
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it
"Jumper"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhjumper.sel"
Floodfill
Selections/Float
Apply the same Cut Out as in Step 3. Remember to apply
the Cut Out twice
changing the Vertical and Horizontal to -1 for the second Cut Out.
Deselect
Step 9
Change your foreground colour to #9B2B2B
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Jumper Rib"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hhjumperrib.sel"
Floodfill
Go to Effects/Texture Effects/Blinds and apply these settings:
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and apply these
settings:
Reapply the drop shadow but change the Vertical and
Horizontal to -1
Selections/Float/Selections/Invert
Click delete - this will clear the shadow from outside of the image. If you forget
to invert
the selection, the rib will disappear and not the shadow so it is important to INVERT
Deselect
In your Layer Palette turn off the visibility of all the
Layers except for the Jumper
and Jumper Rib layers
Right click Merge/Merge Visible. Rename this layer Jumper
