You will need
JASC's PSP7 or 8 - Get it here
Umbrella Selections.  Unzip the file and place in your PSP Selections Folder. 
If you do not have a Selections Folder, make one now. Use for PSP7
Umbrella.pspimage file Use for PSP8
Umbrella Accessories.  Unzip to a folder of your choice.

PLEASE NOTE where instructions differ for PSP8, these will be shown in blue
otherwise follow the regular instructions

To keep the loading time down, I have tried to keep the screen captures to a minimum so when the same effect is used more than once, I have just made a reference to it!

Remember to save your work often!!!

Step 1
Open a New Image 400x400 16 Million Colours Transparent
Open the umbrella.pspimage file. Shift D to duplicate and then close the original
Set your foreground pattern to colour #FFFFFF
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Pole"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh01pole.sel"
Click on the Pole Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh01pole

Floodfill
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply these settings:

Deselect

Step 2
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Release"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh02release.sel"
Click on the Release Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh02release

Floodfill
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply the same settings as in Step 1
Go to your Layer Palette and move this Layer down
Deselect

Step 3
Open the "Pattern Pink" that you downloaded to a folder of your choice
Set your foreground pattern to "patternpink" Scale 25 Angle 0

n your Layer Palette highlite the Pole Layer
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Top"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh03top.sel"
Click on the Top Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh03top
Floodfill
Go to Selections/Invert
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and apply these settings:

Deselect

Step 4
Change your foreground to colour #000000
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Shade"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh04shade.sel"
Click on the Shade Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh04shade
Floodfill
Deselect

Step 5
Change your foreground colour to #FFFFFF
In your Layer Palette highlite the Pole Layer
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Tip"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh05tip.sel"
Click on the Tip Layer
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh05tip

Floodfill
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply the same settings
as in Step 1
Deselect
 


Go to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible

Save as a tube or psp image for later use.
