You will need
JASC's PSP7 and 8 - Get it here Selections. Unzip the file and
place in your PSP Selections Folder. If you do not have a Selections Folder, make
one now. Use for PSP7
candles.pspimage file Use for PSP8 Accessories. Unzip
and place in a folder of your choice
PLEASE NOTE where instructions differ for
PSP8, these will be shown in blue
otherwise follow the regular instructions
To keep the loading time down, I have tried to keep the
screen captures to a minimum so when the same effect is used more than once, I have just
made a reference to it!
Remember to save your work often!!!
Step 1
Open a New Image 400x400 16 Million Colours Transparent
Open the
americandle.pspimage file. Shift D to duplicate and
then close the original
Set your foreground to colour #831717
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Red Candle"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh01rccandle.sel" Click on the Red Candle
Layer Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection
from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh01rccandle
Floodfill
Deselect
On the same layer
Set your foreground colour to #2E305E
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh02rcblue.sel"
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection
from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh02rcblue
Floodfill
Deselect
On the same layer
Set your foreground colour to #E9E1E1
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh03rcstar.sel"
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection
from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh03rcwhite

Deselect
Go to Effects/Noise/Add 10%
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply these settings:
Step 2 Openthe "wick" image you downloaded to a folder of your choice Go to Edit/Copy Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Wick"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh04rcwick.sel"
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection
from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh04rcwick
Go to Edit/Paste/Into Selection
Deselect
Step 3 Openthe "flame" image you downloaded to a folder of your choice Go to Edit/Copy Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Flame"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh05rcflame.sel"
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection
from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh05rcflame
Go to Edit/Paste/Into Selection
Deselect
Step 4 PSP 8 ignore this step Go to your Layer Palette and hide layer 1 Go to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible and rename this Layer "Red Candle"
Step 5 Set your foreground to colour #E9E1E1
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "White Candle"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh06wccandle.sel" Click on the White Candle
Layer Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection
from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh06wccandle

On the same layer
Set your foreground colour to #831717
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh07wcred.sel"
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection
from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh07wcred

Set your foreground colour to #E9E1E1

Step 9 Set your foreground to colour

Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh11bccandle.sel" Click on the Blue Candle

Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection
from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh16bcflame
Go to Edit/Paste/Into Selection
Deselect
Step 12
PSP 8 ignore this step
Go to your Layer Palette and hide
layer 1 the Red and White Candle Layers Go to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible and rename this Layer "Blue Candle"
When everything is how you want it to be go to
Layers/Merge/Merge Visible.
Save as a tube or psp image for later use or you can save each candle
individually and tube separately
