You will need
JASC's PSP7 - Get it here Selections.
Unzip the file and
place in your PSP Selections Folder. If you do not have a Selections Folder, make
one now. Use with PSP7 pspimage
Use with PSP8 Accessories. Unzip
and place in a folder of your choice
PLEASE NOTE where instructions differ for
PSP8, these will be shown in blue
otherwise follow the regular instructions
To keep the loading time down, I have tried to keep the
screen captures to a minimum so when the same effect is used more than once, I have just
made a reference to it!
Remember to save your work often!!!
Step 1
Open a New Image 400x400 16 Million Colours Transparent
Open the
candlebox.pspimage file. Shift D to duplicate and
then close the original
Set your foreground colour to #2E305E
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Back Box"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh01backbox.sel" Click on the Back Box Layer Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection
from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh01backbox
Floodfill
Go to Effects/Noise and add 10% uniform
Go to Selections/Float/Effects/3D Effects/Cut Out and apply these
settings:
Deselect
Step 2 Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Side Box "
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh02sideboxright.sel" Click on the Side Box Layer Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection
from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh02sidebox
Floodfill
Go to Effects/Noise and add 10% uniform
Go to Selections/Float/Effects/3D Effects/Cut Out and apply the same
settings as in Step 1
Deselect
Step 3 This step is not necessary for PSP8
On the same layer
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh03sideboxleft.sel"
Floodfill
Go to Effects/Noise and add 10% uniform
Go to Selections/Float/Effects/3D Effects/Cut Out and apply the
same settings as in Step 1 Deselect
Step 4 Set your foreground to pattern and select the Pine pattern supplied
with PSP7
Set your background colour to #831717
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Back"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh04back.sel" Click on the Back Layer Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection
from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh03back
Floodfill with the Pine pattern
Go to Selections/Modify/Contract by 2
Floodfill with #831717
Go to Effects/Noise and add 10% uniform
Go to Selections/Float/Effects/3D Effects/Cut Out and apply the
same settings as in Step 1 Deselect
Step 5 Set your foreground colour to #E9E1E1 Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Stripes"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh05stripes.sel" Click on the Stripes Layer Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection
from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh04stripes
Floodfill
Go to Effects/Noise and add 10% uniform
Go to Selections/Float/Effects/3D Effects/Cut Out and apply the
same settings as in Step 1 Deselect
Step 6 Set your foreground colour to #2E305E Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Blue Top"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh06bluetop.sel" Click on the Blue Top Layer Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection
from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh05bluetop
Floodfill
Go to Effects/Noise and add 10% uniform
Go to Selections/Float/Effects/3D Effects/Cut Out and apply the
same settings as in Step 1 Deselect
Step 7 Set your foreground colour to #E9E1E1 Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Stars1"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh07stars1.sel" Click on the Stars 1 Layer Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection
from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh06stars1
Floodfill
Go to Effects/Noise and add 10% uniform
Go to Selections/Float/Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply these
settings:
Deselect
Step 8 Open up the "bow" image that you downloaded to
a folder of your choice.
Go to Edit/Copy
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and
name it "Bow"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh08bow.sel" Click on the Bow Layer Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection
from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh07bow
Go to Edit/Paste/Paste into Selection
Deselect
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and apply these settings:
Step 9
Open up the "gravel" image that you downloaded to
a folder of your choice.
Go to Edit/Copy
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and
name it "Gravel"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh09gravel.sel" Click on the Gravel Layer Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection
from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh08gravel
Go to Edit/Paste/Paste into Selection
Deselect
Step 10
Open up the "Candle" image that you downloaded to
a folder of your choice.
Go to Edit/Copy
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and
name it "Candle"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh10candle.sel" Click on the Candle Layer Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection
from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh09candle
Go to Edit/Paste/Paste into Selection
Deselect
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and apply the same settings
as in Step 8 but change the Vertical to 0
Step 11
Set your foreground colour to #2E305E Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Front Box"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh11frontbox.sel" Click on the Front Box Layer Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection
from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh10frontbox
Floodfill
Go to Effects/Noise and add 10% uniform
Go to Selections/Float/Effects/3D Effects/Cut Out and apply the
same settings as in Step 1 Deselect
Step 12
Set your foreground colour to #E9E1E1 Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Stars 2"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh12stars2.sel" Click on the Stars 2 Layer Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection
from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh11stars2
Floodfill
Go to Effects/Noise and add 10% uniform
Deselect
Step 13
Set your foreground to pattern and
select the "stripes" pattern that you
downloaded to a folder of your choice scale 25 angle 0
Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and name it "Trim"
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh13trim1.sel" Click on the Trim Layer Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection
from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh12trim1
Floodfill
Deselect
On the same layer
Go to Selections/Load from Disc and choose "hh14trim2.sel"
Go to Selections/Load Save Selection/Load Selection
from Alpha Channel. Use the drop down arrow and select hh13trim2
Floodfill
Deselect
When everything is how you want it to be go to
Layers/Merge/Merge Visible.
Save as a tube or psp image for later use.
